Regulating Seiko MM300
« on: June 10, 2015, 01:24:52 PM »
Hi Guys,

I have searched the forum and have not found the required information. Please forgive me if I missed anything. I want to get my mm300 regulated at it runs at about 8-9 secs fast a day and I have heard it can do much better. Where is a good place to get this done? Preferably in Klang valley area.

Thank you in advance!

I believe anything less than 20s/day is good for anything not GS. I think all MM300 price range Seiko models are calibrated at -10+25s/day standard. I am not sure if they be adjusted to better daily rate.

To me 8-9 secs fast a day is good enough la. It's a mechanical watch after all. If you really insist on regulating it, I suggest you go to Thong Sia as the MM300 is not easy to open up due to the one piece case design.

I was made to understand TS is required to sent it back to Japan for servicing (not sure if this policy has changed). Service delivery measured in months.

Thanks so much quys for the quick feedback! I think I will leave it till servicing is due since it sounds so troublesome.
