Barricade 6? Wow... it shows how outdated I am...
My Barricade 3 have served me well... koyakted liao...
These are my current sneaker collection... mostly boxfresh...
When the one I wear gets koyakted, I will pick the next one to wear, and then buy 2 new pairs to add to the collection... another neverending journey...  :Laughing_on_floor:

My Favourite of the lot...
My Reebok Instapump Furys...

Normally for shoes, esp. sport shoes - I just buy the latest model and wear on the spot.

I am also avoiding those selling at huge discount, they don;t last very long either.

For I have had bad experience that when you keep them box fresh over a period of time, they just flipped open like a 'big jaw'.

Maybe you people may want to share your expertise to prevent the above.

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

@dc
Based on my experience, if a pair of sneakers left boxfresh and unworn, it will be in that same condition many years later.
See the pics of my pump furys? The pair on d left purple black white colourway was bought in the year 1995. Still unworn and boxfresh... Pristine condition.
The problem that u mention is when yoi wer the shoe even once outdoors, then keep it back in the box. In 6 months time, it will open like a big jaw.

han - thanks.

But then again, the experiences I had was those shoes were pristine new and not worn before and left in the box....Anyway its my luck or just me.

Maybe you can state the brand?
I am actually anti nike as their business practices have disappointed me many many times.
Thats why you see in the pic, only one pair of nike shoe... a pair of nike air rift...
My experiences with nike shoes regarding durability is bad as well.
The so called ACG (All Conditions Gear) barely survived a climb to mount kinabalu.
For me, if you need a pair of good shoes for running, go with new balance.
Hiking? Adidas.
Tennis? Adidas.
Fashion? Puma, Reebok and Adidas.
Nike Slippers is their only product that I can accept...  ;D

I swear by my Nike Free running shoes... guess it's different shoes for different feet. Does not like any shoes with too much support for running.

Walking shoes are of course NB 996 and 564 in all the myriad of colours. Can practically walk around the globe in those.

Boots for me are any Vibram soled Timberland and RedWings for winter.

Also my Clarks Desert Boots are wonderful! The bare basics of all boots. just a piece of rawhide sewed to the sole..no lining..breathable...wonderful crepe soles..genius  :D

Would love to try a pair of Aldens one of these days.

I miss my Jacky Chan Pump Furry.

Actually thinking of it i miss my Air Rift as well....anyone know where to get in KL, is it still available here?
