What do you think of Malaysia's Starlink?
« on: August 06, 2021, 12:21:27 PM »
Hi everyone,

I bet many of you have heard about Elon Musk's Space X company's Starlink project.

I just saw this a few days ago, but surprisingly a Malaysia's startup is planning to do something similar too!

They even called themselves Angakasa X (malay version of Space X )

They are planning to launch low earth orbit satellite, around 500 satellite they said could cover the ASEAN region!

What do you all think? Is it good project / investment?

fast-forward to 2023, it's finally here. in general starlink has always meant to provide connectivity to the outer reach areas.

places with no infrastructure like deserts, jungles, mountain tops, etc.

looking at the initial pricing it's actually not too expensive considering the architecture of the system.
