As one of the newly appointed moderators of this German timepieces sub-forum, I should play my part in promoting watches of this genre.
As such these are wrist shots taken much earlier of my current few German watches to start with..

GO Navigator Perpetual Calendar

GO Panomatic Lunar

Damasko DK-10 with silicium escapement in an in-house movt A35-1

Erhard Junghans Chronoscope

Archimede Pilot Original Limited Edition with Junghans vintage movement

Nomos GMT Plus

From what I know, when Poljot ceased operations, Alexander Shorokoff started Poljot International based in Germany. Besides this and the brand named after him, he also has another sister brand called Basilika.

But I read earlier that the original Poljot was bought/revived by someone else... not sure how the naming rights will turn out.

But I read earlier that the original Poljot was bought/revived by someone else... not sure how the naming rights will turn out.

From my understanding, Poljot International started life as a distribution arm of Poljot, to sell Poljot watches internationally, and also in Germany. In the year 2000 to 2003 (there abouts), rumours of the fall of Poljot came about and Poljot International became a company producing Poljot brand watches with German case and Russian Poljot movement. This slowly change and more and more Poljot International watches are being fitted with more and more German parts. The brand Poljot International is owned by Alexander Shorokoff.

I suspect the introduction of the brand Basilika is to move the watches away from the Poljot brand name as Poljot did not shut down but was taken over by a Russian businessman. However that Russian businessman has yet to decide what to do with the brand. I understand it is still producing watches but at a very small production level as funding is an issue. So, at the moment, we will just have to wait and see what happens next.
