to me, is all about luck. if they pick on u then even u sit home o u keep all ur collection in a 700kg fotress safe in 2nd floor in master bedroom, they will move the whole thing out from your house if they cant open it.

if they never spot u, then u will be safe to move around even some dark back lane.

Yup. they 'ta-pau' the safe with the bed sheet and drag it all the way to the entrance, up load it to a pick up and drive pass (after saying 'hello' to the security guard) the gate barricade. Thats what happened to my close relatives...

Public security reflects the image of the police force in the country. Unfortunately, M'sia police force is not formidable enough to scare off the bad guys. The whole world is challenging M'sian securities, this includes Middle-Eastern & African ppl now besides the traditional foreign criminals from Indo, Viets, Bunglas, Cambodia, Burmese, and some China con men etc.

How to live peacefully?

Who do we blame ...the malaysian government, police force or we are rich to afford nice piece of watch....
I am Malaysian but living in hong kong, I dun find any worries wearing my collection over here.  But by the time I reached KLIA, I started to be worried am I being spotted.  My friend and his girl friend dove to visit me when I am back home, when his car parked in front of my house ready to walk in while waiting for my electric door to open, they were two idiots jumped down from a car with parang on his girl friend's neck the other parang was chopped his forehead....everything gone just a while only left two injured friends in front of my house.....we were sorry.
Well, why are we being a victim.  Do we Malaysian lack of enforcement... We had tonnes of police, CID.....
It's just my experienced when I came back and I sincerely wish all the paneristi over here be awareness if you drive back home OR should we like American easily carry a gun with us so that we could pull a trigger to those idiots....haha

Haha...if it is allow  :Praying:

Bro in Malaysia , there are civilians carrying sidearms just that they are not allowed to show it in public .

There are 2 types of license in Malaysia

A and B

A - you can buy , transfer , own a gun which the PDRM and KDN will sign on the type of sidearm which is permitted .

B. C & U - carry and use - normally tag to license A . which you can only carry and use but not allowed to own it.

 ;) . Have a great weekend bro

Instead of being negative...
We shd be positive!!!

Do what we can do !
1. Becareful when v go out
2. Improve house security by installing alarm
3. If can afford buy gated n guarded house
4. Be active with resident association or management corporation in handling security issue
5. Get to know all ur neighbours instead of being LC
6. Make complaint n constructive suggestion / solution to relevant authorities
7. Vote for politician who cares bout security

Don't run away from problem... N expect problem will be solved by nature
Complaint not at right place to right ppl won't help

Thanks Chris,

I am very positive, only the government make me worried.

1.  As mentioned, I had paid extra careful when I touched down KLIA
2.  My parents house has installed.
3.  My house is gated with automatic door but no guarded like Dato Sri's house
4.  They asked me to report Polis and it takes half and hour to arrived.  Report lodged, balik rumah pls.
5.  I am not LS person, but depends on some one whom LS to me....just a jokes.  However, neighbor will not come out for you if you had this happened.  They locked the door calling police too.
6.  I did and even asked them to patrol more, even sign book attentence.
7.  There's no politician will helps us in security purposes.  No profit.  Whom do I vote ?

No hard feeling, I think the whole public security issue mainly derived from the good government we had....

just to add a few more points

 - Be nice to everybody, including strangers. People nowadays will shoot you for a very simple reason, they don't feel 'song' with your attitude.
 - Go home earlier, many criminal cases happened during after-hour.
 - Install autogate, don't get out from the car until the gate is properly closed.

I don't believe most people would like to lead a life of crime if they can help it. The problem is we have a large (and getting larger) young population but our economy is just not generating enough jobs to keep most of them employed. Those who are employed find their salaries inadequate in the face of the fast rising cost of living. The slippery ones turn to cheating (including masquerading as a doctor allegedly serving with love in some far off land, asking for public's donation) and the violent ones break into homes looking for Rolexes, Cartiers, APs...... To me, the biggest mistake the public made the last decade or so was to entrust the safety of their homes to security guards,  whether genuine or bogus, hence indirectly allowing the PDRM to be released from one of their most important duties: neighbourhood crime prevention. We cannot fight or prevent crime up to the perimeters of our neighbourhoods, which is what we are presently doing with security guards. The public security net needs to be bigger and carries more deterrence for would be criminals. Sadly, all of us missed this point. Instead of pressuring the PDRM to buck up its performance, we allowed ourselves to be put under siege and we now pay mercenaries with uncertain loyalty and credential to guard our forts. Trust me, in 5 years' time, KL will be like Manila or Jakarta.

I been MC chairman for yrs... Hiring many guards before...
But I just can't trust the guard afterall...

Yes, i must agreed Our nation is not going correct direction !

We should transform to a higher income nation by retaining n getting in talent to do higher tech stuff... But we rather keep cost low by allowing foreign low cost labour to do our job
Worst is no control of it...

My Fren said KK is worst, I said public holiday if u drive around pudu petaling street n cental market... It's no different!

Etp here only transform the water meter maker to b mrt contractor...

So I always alert ! Alarm...

Hi all.
Things aren't any better in the once peaceful town of Ipoh.
There's a ruthless gang that's been going around collecting 'proctection' fee.
And I thought that's a thing of the past.  :(
They target restaurants and other businesses which depends on walk in customers.
2 particular incidences when the businesses don't pay up - they smashed up a well-known restaurant in Menglembu and send a gang of 8, with guns, to rob the guests during a wedding dinner at another well-known restaurant in Pasir Putih.
The police stations in both cases were only 5 minutes away but, as usual, they arrived much later - after the gangsters have left.  :Scolding:
When asked what are the police going to do, an officer replied 'itu gangsters ada pistol, apa boleh kita buat?!'
Ipoh mali, not such a nice town anymore......
