Singapore for the lonely traveler.
« on: April 11, 2012, 04:25:46 PM »
Planning to go solo this time around to Singapore. Any ideas what the lonely traveler should prepare for? Also places to stay, eat and play would be helpful. Been around the block a few times but all I've done are the usual touristy things.

Wat else is there to do but the usual touristy stuff in SG ? hahha

Stayed here for the past 6 years. although it does have it's charms but it is definitely no Hong Kong. Every estate is an exact carbon copy of the next.

Great place to be if you're a family man ..but for sheer vibrancy and excitement, stick to HK.

Terrenceterrecne, thanks for the input. Funny you should mention HK. I have family there (mother is from HK) and been around the block once or twice with family but seeing this is a first for me (traveling solo) somewhere closer to home would be more logical. Besides, I AM on a budget (a students' budget to be exact).

Anything more experienced travelers have to say about this? Don't shy shy la.
