i was there 2 years ago.

Place: visit temple, zoo (best to rent a jeep to go around)
Food: ordinary thai food can be found in every Thai island. (seafood, BBQ, thai curry, etc)
Activities: Island tour, snorkeling, swimming.

something like that.

The list of Koh Samui's attractions is surprisingly long as the island and its surroundings are full of places to go and things to see. If you're interested in the intricate and symbolic Buddhist temple decor then you'll be hard pressed to take in all of Samui's 'wats' as there are many of them. Surrounding islands promise sun-filled days of exploration bliss while monkey shows, butterfly gardens, elephant treks and Samui Zoo cater to animal lovers.

The neighbouring Grandmother and Grandfather rocks near Lamai Beach are ribald reminders that Nature has a sense of humour while Samui's waterfalls are the best way to get cooled off in the heat of the day. Out and out shows such as Christies transvestite cabaret are memorable to those who have not savour Bangkok's night life.

Some of the temple attractions :
1) Big Buddha shrine (Wat Phrai Yai)
2) Wat Plai Leam
3) Wat Pradeom
4) Wat Laem Sor
5) Wat Kiri Wongkaram
6) Buddha Footprint
7) Chinese Temple to the Goddess Zhao Mei Guan Im
8) Hainan temple (Chinese)

Animal attractions :
1) Snake Farm
2) Paradise Park Farm (up at Samui Pok mountain - have parrots, goats, deers, rabbits etc)
3) Crocodile Farm
4) Buffalo Fighting
5) Butterfly Garden

Beaches - no need to elaborate as Samui is an island with beaches surrounding it

Others (natural or man-made)
1) Angthong National Marine Park
2) Bophut's Fisherman's Village
3) Pagoda Khao Chedi
4) Aquarium
5) Zoo
6) Starz cabaret
7) Hin Lad Waterfall trail
8) Hua Thanon - Muslim fishing village with teakwood structure
9) Lamai Overlap Stone
10) Ko Phangan - famous for its Full Moon Parties with all night dancing.
11) Na Muang Waterfalls
12) Secret Buddha/Magic Garden

Thnx for all the recommendations….

Just to share some photo from the trip
The koh samui air port really surprised me, with the greeting from the crews and the buggy driver, we were brought to the resort alike air port terminal! No air con, no wall, just the wooden made structure…..

Love the lighting

The taxi fare to my <10mins drive hotel is expensive, it cost me 400bht

I’m staying at SKYRA Chura Resort

a small Japanese style beach front resort

Most room with good japanese garden view
After putting down my luggage, I ran towards the beach….. walk till I tire, guess what?

Foot massage lor…. 200bht
1st night dinner was at Chaweng beach, just a few mins from hotel

Yeah, 1st thing I ordered is the TOM YAM

Papaya salad

And my favorite phat thai, fried noodle

We were also recommended for house favorite, the fried sotong.
Along the Chaweng street, its all ANG MO, hardly see a Chinese, malay or even Japanese Korean…
BAR, souvenirs, fashions, massage, tailors, restaurant…. Its all for tourist…

The whole street has few watch shops…. All selling these (except 1 selling genuine tissot citizen)

Hm… all shop keeper looks like Indian/Bangladesh, same like Phuket…
Even after massage, my feet was so tire….. the Whole Chaweng street is really long….

Relax relax relax…. Beer, live band….

Day 2, after the good hotel breakfast

I rented a bike for 2 days….

After I checked the weather forecast, i decided to go as far as I can… bcoz its rainy days…

I stop as I like, buying local fruits in wet market, small fishing port, weird buidling….. Quick lunch at road side

No rain, so manage to go round the whole island and visited the 2 big temples as recommendation

Another tourist spot, the grandfather and grandmother rock

After thai massage…. Yummy time!

Can you imagine, 1 lobster, 8 prawns (2 crabs + 4 prawns original package), 1 red snapper, 4 mussels, 2 big squids + 2 fried rice = 1400 baht
Cant imagine I can finish it…

Night shopping again at Chaweng and a glass of local favorite COCKTAIL before I get back to hotel….

Day 2, heavy rain in the morning…. so I went to local shopping centres and massage….

Got this 22mm Seiko type double lock folding clasp silicon rubber strap

Then lunch at ANG MO Favorite ( a restaurant full of  Ang MO)

Love this fried flat noodle and the set of big burger with….

Rain stop, riding my bike to another famous temple, the mummified monk temple

Also the cheapest place selling this handicraft…. 500bht a set

Then went uphill for waterfall and hill top view…

For this view, I get wet…. Suddenly heavy rain…. Just another 3 mins I reach here…. Freezing…. So I order a spicy tom yam and hot coffee again!!!
Till rain stop, ride to LAMAI beach, for shopping and dinner

After tom yam 3 hours earlier, my wife ordered some clear soup pork glass noodle

And I order non spicy fried noodle with squid

Too plain… I add this, chicken curry

While watching lin dan beat peter gade
On the way back to Chaweng, passing through this beautiful resort

After another pampering ourselves another round of massage
I relax myself at my hotel room big balcony

With this

And the daily complementary

Local beer

Last day, sun bathing at beach

Sorry, not me

Not me

This is me… lol

Watching

After check out from hotel, we went for…… MASSAGE…. Lol
And pay expensive airport transfer to hotel 353bht
After check in, another round of thai food here

For these

And

Lovely spicy potak

after that i found, there are complementary snack food and drinks at the boarding area....

Good bye…. the lovely airport
