The Precista Royal Navy Diver- Reissue
« on: February 01, 2015, 05:42:48 PM »
Past few months I was looking for a watch that look timeless with criteria that not beyond 42mm diameter and a robust movement. With rm2200 budget what can I get for a timeless machine? Well, I scale down the selection between Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military and Prescista PRS82 , surely Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military is a homage to Rolex Submariner 5517. After few weeks of consideration, I decided go for Precista PRS82 and let the real 5517 be my dream grail.

Precista Royal Navy Diver reissue by Edward Platts , who operate online watch store called "Time Factors" and a micro watch brand, frankly its not an easy task to sort 40mm case from micro brand with original reissue watch rather than an homage.
(No links to commercial sites please.)

Originally Precista Royal Navy Diver produced between 1981-1982, I believe after rolex 5517. Both 80s Precista Royal Navy Diver and reissue unit running on same movement, 80s' ETA 2783.

The original Precista Royal Navy Diver from 80s which i found online:
