it's a reissue of the chrono produced for the PLA Air Force from 1963. Thus the name.

Seagull does not have the model on the production line because this was a bulk order to the factory from a German guy working in Zhuhai.

you can see more pics from his photobucket and flickr account

I have just email-ed him about the availabity of the watch but unfortunately it's all sold out at the moment. Was late by jsut 2 months.

enc is his reply.

Hello Terence,

thanks for your mail.

I did sell these watches until about 2 months ago. Most recent sales price was USD 205.- for the steel back version and USD 215.- for the display back version (each "plus shipping"). Did not post them anywhere for a long time, because they became sort of a "self-runner".

But, I am awfully sorry, now for the sad news, availability of the watch: Unfortunately my stocks of the Seagull 1963 are completely sold out and at the time being my main job does not leave enough time to procure new stocks (I am a German engineering manager on long term assignment for a British company in the Hong Kong / Macau / Zhuhai area. Do the watches, bands etc. besides my main job.). As the watches are basically made on demand, procuring the watches from Seagull has always been rather lengthy and production delays did also not help.

And sorry, I do not maintain a waiting list anymore, because I simply can not predict at what time I will have more time for these watches again.

Sorry again for the sad news, greetings from the far east,

Markus Bahlmann

I did ask him about the possibility of doing a bulk group purchase.

still awaiting his reply to whether he is doing an order for the watch again.

yes, it's sold with the nato strap as pictured.

comes in both solid and display caseback.

there's a few variations to the dial as you can see from his flickr and phtobucket acc.

but the photo above is the re-issue of the Air Force issue.
