Have you ever had a fitting problem til the point where.....
« on: August 24, 2009, 08:49:40 AM »
Has any member here bought a watch you like alot only later to find out that no matter how you adjust the bracelet,it just doesnt seem to fit nicely.
Either too loose or tight until it leaves a mark after 5mins of wearing.
I like my watches a little loose since we live in Malaysia and the fitting of the watch changes quite alot depending on where i am.

I am reaching a point to try and sell my watch and if i cant sell it i will give it to my uncle.
Either that or change to a strap.

What are your takes on this?

what watch is that?

some modern watch bracelet come with half link now... it fit better...
then some watches hv few pin holes near buckle to adjust....

best is the new rolex deep sea and seiko mm kinda bracelet... slide it to fit...

even a leather or rubber strap... same problem... unless u punch the hole yourself....
( next time buy some leather and make your own will soft this.... or pay to expert )

but normally rubber strap which is soft and will grip to your wrist wont be that bad....

Hey Peter... Can I be your Uncle for the time being...at least till you give me your watch!  :Laughing_on_floor:

This way, I would solve your problem on sizing of whatever watch bracelet you may have.

I bet is the SD..i too have problem adjusting the SD bracelet to fit my wrist better, its always "sengget" one size..but i have no problem for gmt-2/daytona because the shorter buckle i think..

I maybe wrong...otherwise, do share with us what bracelet is that  8)

cheers!

Thought of the half link and seen the whole thing each link is the same size.
Too bad even the pin hole only has 2 and when take one link out and move to the outer hole still tight.

Scott, its not the SD, surprisingly my SD is the watch that fits me the best and is the perfect size. Cant really say the same with my Speedy thats why i got the strap, but i know speedy has a half link available so maybe when i send it in for service will ask the SC to add in for me.

David, long time no see, maybe this weekend we go yam cha.

i thought of SD also... because SD is thick... and heavy compare to its bracelet... so alot of ppl hv problem with that...
if SD no need to give uncle... give me a gd price... i'll take it...

my wrist is small, most of my watches will 'sengget' to one side.  :HammerHead:
especially watch with heavy 'head'.  :Laughing_on_floor:
