I have been waiting to see one in the metal and today finally I get to see one thru the window. Somehow it looks a bit of a let down for me...the strap looks too wide for the 42mm watch, the hands underwhelmingly slim, the numerals and markers small.
Maybe I need to touch and feel it in my hands....but at this price ($14,500?) I think its best I walk away... :-\
Sorry, just based on my own observation.

I was offered similar one, so lucky to touch it in flesh. No big deal actually, though it has great history. But at RM 40+k, I chicken out too. ;D

while shopping at sunway pyramid today, my wife pointed out this Longines to me. I said hey thats the same one that yenfoolun posted. so we went in to take a look as my wife wanted a new watch. surprisingly she wears in pretty well but too loose even on the last hole (which is expected as this is a men's watch). It feels light but I quite like it. Only problem is the price - rm6900 list *ouch*
-
rm6900 for a eta 2824-2 divers is bit too high...
but if a good discount is available then should be ok...
-
ya thats exactly how i felt. if around 2 to 3k can buy one for my wife. but 5 to 6k.....I cant afford that right now... :-\
-
I doubt u can get anything less than RM5k for more popular brands. Ball mid range models are slightly more than rm5k.
-
they should hv used valgrance movement to justify the selling price....
-
That Longines can be had for around 4.5k (after discount) a year back. But not too sure of the current price now.
For a 5 - 6 k range, you could get a respectable Breitling or a Sinn...
hey...I bought an Epos, open heart / mother of pearl for my the other half (last year) for under 2.3k
