The renown Rolex Polar GMT .. this S series example dates back to 1993 / 1994. It is powered by Rolex’s caliber 3185 with 50 hours power reserve. Featuring a white dial (polar) with nice creamy hour indices that is showing a very nice evenly patina.The lume is entirely off and no longer luminous on both hours and hands. It is fitted with Rolex 78360 bracelet with 501B end links which rightfully so for models with lug holes and single clasp. The bracelet and end links is nicely intact and not loosened or jiggly. Case is not polished hence original linings / finishing can be seen. Thick case with very clean case back with clear serial & model number in between lugs. All in all, a plausible example of a Polar GMT that dates back to 1993 / 1994 with period correct fittings.
Case (9 / 10) – Thick case (never polished) and with fine hairline scratches from honest wearing (nothing obvious or badly affected)
Bezel – Some of the numerals paint came off and light scratches on surface
Crystal – A few mini dings at 0 – 3 minute marker
No dent/ding/nick on case and bezel
Rolex 78360 bracelet (9 / 10) – evenly hairline scratches on bracelet due to honest wear. Nicely intact and not loosened
Medium to long bracelet length (12 nos links)
Clasp (9 / 10) – evenly hairline scratches on clasp. Rolex logo clearly seen and no blemish on crown. And clasp secures nicely.
Rolex 501B end links – Fit perfectly on lugs without extra movement or being lose
Movement – Rolex caliber 3185 50 hours power reserve
Keeping excellent time and no issues with power reserve and date wheel. Minor relube and service was done early this year by our own service centre. Keeping COSC time keeping with healthy amplitude.
