Eh, small companies becoming microbrands? Interesting, I didn't realize that. What is the impetus for such a shift? Negative market forces and downsizing? Hmm can't be though, the demand for luxury items right now is pretty hyped up. Is it for some kind of perceived value / exclusivity?

Seems like there's a connotation with microbrands paying more attention to detail and offering value for money, maybe they trying to leverage on that  ???

So they're trying to catch the market of perceived value then. But it does seem like doing so would be a step backward, especially when looking at brands like Louis Errard that have been around for a really long time.

One more week till WoW, anything interesting leaked so far? Personally, I'm curious about that whole Omega x Swatch thingie n how it'll play out, but doesn't seem to be tied to WoW tho.

I was A/B-ing this against the 1655, the faux rivet bracelet actually adds an additional level of detail that I think makes the overall piece quite interesting.

Yes yes! That faut rivet works better here than the BB58 actually…and the updated clasp looks a little more like it’s older brother and toolwatch-like!

@hmkpwatches - i texted my AD as well. Hahaha

You got a point there...the pics dont really show it - have to see it in the metal.

Stats wise, the thickness is actually similar to the BB41

BB41 : 14.8mm
BB Pro : 14.6mm  :o
BB 58 : 11.9mm

Yeah, thickness is similar with the BB GMT 41mm. It's just not pleasing to have that sort of thickness on a watch with 39mm besides that's one of the biggest issue with the GMT 41mm, and yet they decided to just keep things the way it is.

I agree. Even my 42mm Exp II is only 12.5mm thick.

14.6mm for a 39mm watch... :-\

We'll see.  :Praying:

hmm thats actually a bit troubling. initially i loved my bb gmt but it did start to feel a bit bulky. on a 39 it may feel odd. gotta wait for prototype i guess

Yes the BB 41 GMT looks great at first, but wearing it for a while you start to feel the weight of the watch and it's chunkiness, not a comfortable watch to wear. I can't imagine the extra weight on the S&G

Hai adik-adik, Tora ooopppsss I mean Tudor datang lagi dengan permainan jam makin kecil!!  :Laughing_on_floor:

Well hive mind, what do we think about a 39mm Pelagos? Perfect size? Great entry into the line? Completely redundant? The racelet does look good though. At 11.8mm thick and 47mm lug to lug it does have a bit of presence

Not a bad spec to be honest...but must test in the metal...

The BB Pro is a bit thick, and at least the Pelagos is slimmer though rated a deeper diver than the conventional BB.

Yes, definitely have to test out in person this particular model. I hope they also ironed out all the nagging little issues with the previous model like lume pips falling off. Reckon it would make a great rugged option vs the 58. But then I again who am I kidding, deepest I'm gonna dive is just into a desk drawer saja 🤣

I'm curious to see how it compares against the 42mm Pelagos. No date and new movement. Lower depth rating means it's likely thinner. Different enough to be interesting but unlikely to add one to those who already have the 42mm..

Curious why Tudor didn't release it in green..
