I used to be a big F1 fan in my college/uni days. Went for the 1st F1 race in Sepang back in 97/98. My first and probably my last one. It's way too hot.
Would love to go for the Monaco GP in my lifetime.
Lost interest in F1 during those years when Schuey was dominating the sport. Man, I still remember that stupid move in the US GP, where he slowed to allow rubens to catch up with him so they could cross the line together and allowed rubens to win. That was it for me.
But I am still a McLaren fan from those days.
Got a little more interesting when Alonso stopped the Schuey steam roll, but by then I wasn't as fanatic as before.
On the subject of no. 1 and no. 2 drivers, I think Schuey in Ferrari is a good example on how this setup can work. It was always made clear that schumi is the no. 1 in ferrari so there was no delusions from his team mate that they would be treated equally. It gave him and ferrari 5 titles in a row!
I think the problems comes when there is no transparency, be it intentional or un-intentional by the team's management.
IMHO, I don't think either red bull drivers will win the title this year. They may have the fastest car on the track, but all this drama will be their downfall. Some similarities with McLaren when they had hamilton and alonso few years back.
But then again, Button and Hamilton seems to a good working relationship (on the surface of it!). I put my money on Hamilton. He had all the bad luck last year, but this year is vice versa. Karma!
