Title: Rolex Explorer 36mm (Old vs New)
Post by: dspayre616 on June 09, 2021, 11:22:44 PM
I did just a review on the Rolex 14270 (on my blog) and stumbled on Bob Watches review on the Rolex explorer (114270 vs 124270)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyNzZJgK4tc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyNzZJgK4tc)

Summary
==========
124270
- lesser space on the dial as the hour markers are huge
- bigger power reserve capacity (70 hours)
- 19 mm lugs width (didn't know that)
- Solid end link bracelet

Just a question to all, would you wear a 36mm?

My 1st post here and my answer is definitely YES.

Btw I have puny 6.5 inch wrist and I don't own a single Rolex just yet.

Been eyeing 124270 and 126000 but doubt Rolex AD would sell any since I don't have any purchase history.

Hard to shake off that "ladies size" stereotype if you are a guy. But a lot of the reviews online are comforting. I think if you try it on its own and not see the larger one side by side you'll be fine.
