looking to replace racket
after broken 2 of my babolat rackets lately
what u guys using?
yonex
victor
li ning
wilson
apac
pro ace
what u recommend for double play
-
Yonex fans here but been out of action for few years, last rackets was a VT80 - 3U (JP version) & Arc 8DX - 2U (JP version)
Ti10 - 3rd gen was light enough for a double play but I think it was discontinued
-
Yonex fan too. Currently have 2 sets. Arc serial.
-
Seems a lot of yonex arc fan
I just throw the vt 80, too slow

yonex good in quality and performance, i like it maybe since young this brand has injected in my mind. i will not consider other brand as it is too good to me... ;D ;D
-
many Yonex haters out there as they think Yonex is overpriced same like Rolex.
well since they've been survived and succeeded in this industry for so long, then they must be good enough.
still remembered few years ago during the Li-Ning hype, i asked one very good veteran player about Li-Ning, his answer is "I only believed in Yonex"

I must admit that Yonex Shoes (SHB version) are overpriced and not so durable, after trying out Li-Ning, Mizuno and Asics, I still come back to Yonex Shoes (SHB) for the fit and feel *low ground contact as compared to others.
Still it is overpriced

Japan Yonex is way more expensive than those selling in Malaysia
As Japan Yonex is JP code and whereas Malaysia is SP code
JP code Yonex always command a premium price vs others
Slight different in paint job, play wise is the same

Was using a Yonex Amortec 900 technique until it broke.
Now back to my trusted old Carlton Airblade 800 which is 15-ish years old.
-
vote for Yonex!

I've try Mizuno shoes before but I bought the Volley Ball series which the heel is too high for lateral movement, sold it just after 2 rounds
in my place, I hardly find any Badminton Version, only Volley Ball

For those in Klang valley, we can easily find good badminton shoes/equipment at elin collection in cheras, AJ in puchong, racquet world in pertama or KD sport.
I saw this Wave fang at elin was selling at 380++. Good stuff but not cheap.
-
you guys ever noticed the Japan Team hardly using Yonex racket or shoes but instead they used quite a lot of Mizuno

Yes bro!
The wave fang rx2 I bought is definitely the higher end series
Not cheap even after promotion 30+ 10 % off
But so far this is the best badminton shoe I ever wear, day one already fit well!
Every aspect is better
Move front and back
Jump and landing
Grip
Fitting

sadly to say I can't generate any force especially the backhand clear, switched back to Duora

Nvr try Duora
I notice the Dennis number pair also using Duora 10
Tot it’s single game racket
Seems nowadays racket design towards both fast swing using all different tech
And head heavier for smashing

For double game, I'm still stuck with Ti10. Bad influence from PJB/KDM/KKK. Those single racquet just too slow for amateur player like me to react during double game.
-
Ti10 is legend already
I saw you have the 2nd gen as well that's rare

Yeap, G2 is rare. But the best feeling still is the T10 - G1. Nowadays i don't play with G1 and G2. Just stroke nia. Only G3 still in service.

Just get a suitable racket for playing double. Some racket are suitable for single and not really recommend for double.
For double, I will go for YOnex Nanoray or Arcsaber

Duara also a good racket. There is 2U, 3U and 4U. Just my personal experience... 2U & 3U is more suitable for singles while the 4U, which is lighter, performs better in doubles becoz of speed.

May I know the price range of it? :mooning:

For Yonex (Made in Japan), the price from around RM400 and above.
If you really interested in Yonex and worrying about outside shop whether is genuine or not, you can get it online in sunriseclick.com. Normally I bought from them.

Used to own yonex racquet such as armotec and arch saber. Oh boy, they are great but they do not last. End up purchasing new racquet li ning and pro ace now. And they last. I would strongly recommend victor brand. I would love to try em if I ever encounter it from sports shop
