Patek Philippe ref. 3710/1A "Comet"
« on: July 13, 2011, 09:15:13 PM »
The Patek Philippe ref. 3710/1A is a discontinued model from the Nautilus line
that sports a PP 330 SC IZR movement. What is special about this movement is,
they never used this movement anymore in any of their model line making this timepiece
one of the most desirable Nautilus model among collectors

Rated by Michael Balfour(Author of "Cult Watches") as one of the most sought after Nautilus

Case in a 41mm Stainless Steel

Just a shame it has a solid closed caseback

Hidden inside is the elegant PP 330 movement

Simplicity at its best

The power reserve indicator is the highlight of this fine timepiece featuring a power reserve indicator
hand at the 12 o'clock position moving in a clockwise manner with the sickle indicator(comet) moving independently
in a clockwise manner too. Giving you an illusion that the hand indicator is running endlessly after the 'comet"

Closer view

Finally, the compulsory wrist shot.

Thanks for looking and Mabuhay!!!

Being discontinued, that makes this
timpiece more collectible.

Surely a keeper

I saw one for sale not too long ago in a Taiwan website.
Should have grab it, but it didnt have any B&P, dont remember if it came with the Patek archive papers though.

One question MAster ninja: Why at one point the power reserve indicator hand disappeared in the brochure? ???

You have a good eye there sir
The disappearance must be due to reflection
But if you will take a closer and magnified view, the PR hand indicator is pointed to the 10 o'clock position
