Post by: dann1101 on June 18, 2013, 02:22:55 PM
Hi guys,

I'm Newbie here.

I'm looking for a Rolex 5513

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy?

Been looking for quite sometime and is kinda hard to find in Malaysia.

Thank you.

Hi,
Know a place but in Malaysia. If you r paying a visit to Singapore, ground Flr Lucky Plaza Orchard Rd. Maybe there may be a place in KL, but let me know I shall interested as well. Other than that, try eBay, but buyer beware rules in EBay.
Cheers
Derris

I bought two of my vintage Rolexes online from the US. But beware in doing so. You must really know what youre looking for before doing this. Best of luck!

ebay has some decent deals from credible sellers. Look at their trade history to see if theyre legit.

For vintage watch, try to buy it in person in perhaps HK, Japan, Singapore, London.

Buying vintage from EBay is extremely risky. Personally I would never buy it from eBay. For spare parts that cost a few hundred ringgits is fine, and not tens of thousands.

Any plans to get the lume stabilised?

Thats the main deterrent in my quest for a 1680 Red/Great White

No plans. Just enjoying the watch as it is. Don't let the small things deter you from getting what you want in life.

What about the few stores on level 6 Berjaya Times Square? I went there few weeks ago and that was pretty good.

Today afternoon spoke with old Rolex shifu. He recommended me if I really want to hunt vintage Rolex. Just stick to those automatic models with 3035movement only.

sorry bro, what i meant was the difference in terms of placement of the sub dial for seconds and hours, plus on
the 116520 they were shifted slightly upwards.
