Title: Vintage Rolex Bezel Discoloration
Post by: jimmyang on April 22, 2017, 01:09:44 PM
I've a few questions in regards to this issue. Is it possible in the early 70s model to have the fluted bezel discolored?
Is it possible to polish if it is indeed a possible piece? The bezel  has turned a flaming black. Kind of like steel being under fire for a period of time.

Not quite sure how to explain it but basicallt anyone has any problem with gold discoloration and is it possible to polish it. That's all and many thanks guys.

To answer my own question for other people who might search about this topic.

Yes it is possible to discolor due to sweat and other chemical agents.
Yes, it is possible to polish it. A minor minor swipe with cape cod is more than enough to clean it.

Topic end.
