Damasko DA36 iz in da houze!
« on: February 22, 2011, 11:53:54 AM »
So I got bored today and was hit by the shutterbug, so here are some photos of the Damasko DA36. I got this in August last year. Bought it direct from Damasko - the Fedex fee was really a killer. Now that I am smarter, I'll probably get it from Singapore, as I have my sights on the DC56. Probably gonna wait till RM hits below 3 to the USD :P

Apart from the strap, the face and case still looks like the day I received it. And I've been wearing this on a weekly basis. The case is rock solid, no dings, scratches, or even hairline scratches at all. And yeah, I've hit walls and hard object unintentionally a few times, but the case prevails. The making of the watch case is explained here.

Enjoy the pic.

Really love the contras of the neon color sec hand.

I think they mark up quite alot in SG also, so maybe not really cheaper to buy it there.

Curious, how much did Damasko charge for shipping?

It's the AR coating lah. Damn clear one. If you order from Damasko, you can request to have AR on both side of the crystal. Mine is on the outside only, already very clear leh.

120 Euro for Fedex...

Are you for real? 120Euros? Most of the germans charge in the region of 40Euros. Could there have been a mistake?

Yeah - it was quite expensive. The good thing however (ya ya I'm trying to justify money spent here...), the wire-transfer was short by some tens of euro, but Damasko was kind enough to deliver the watch.

Cause they know they make alot from the shipping LOL.

Can you order with just AR on the inside?

I for one dont like AR on outside as it easily gets scratch or wipe out over time and looks ugly.

most bigger brand hv account n package deal with Fedex, so they can get it ship from europe to Asia at euro40
but damasko hv no package deal with Fedex, so send ad hoc with fastest insured way with Fedex is euro100 last time n now 120 according to our member here.
So I'm not supprise with that, I did asked Fedex for shopping cost to Europe, for 500gm to 2kg
economy rm200
priority/guarantee in 2 days rm350

plus 0.15% on insure value

n damasko won't entertain negotiation n they will only take the fastest n safest way so that's the price.

Last time I check with mih watch... It also charge usd180 for Fedex delivery.

After contacting Damasko, I can confirm that the shipping to Malaysia is indeed euro120.
They break it down to euro110 for shipping and euro10 for packaging... yes... they charge for packaging!!  :Startled:
And you can only pay by wire transfer.... which means extra fees involved...
Currently calculating between 3 Dealers to see which is more worth it...
