it is big but somehow the design of Omega of that era make it wearable on my wrist.

Usually Ebay price is around RM5-6 k. There one local shop selling but it is not the model i wanted.

How you find homage from Orange Watch?

OWC? I know Dan has the homage for the Mil-sub and snowflake and heard his products are pretty good. Have not had the opportunity (yet) to handle his products. I am currently pretty wary of homage watches due to quality issues, having used and seen some of the products available. If all fails I might get the 5513 or newer 14060 or 14060M but without the 4 lines of text version.

Ya OWC, always read some good review of it.
5512/5513 is the nearest choice but be wary for after market dial or parts.

The main problem with collecting vintage watches. I have seen experts getting it wrong. Getting a 5512 would be superb as is the 5513. But because of redials and franken watches, I tend to go for the newer rendition of the watches, like the 14060 or 14060M. Also RSC can verify the watch (newer models) in-situ, but not with vintage watches. I had to wait 2 weeks while RSC verified a Snowflake if the movement was correct for the watch. Will have to see, as there are other watches in the line of sight. I am slowing down on my collection and am picking and choosing what to get.

The Rolex Explorer II is the reference 1655 shown below.

However there are very few photographs of him actually wearing the watch. He is more commonly seen with the Rolex Submariner reference 5512.

The 5512.
