I have put my Seiko Presage SARY055 into a single slot China made watch winder for 2 month, now the watch stop running in about 28 hours after I have fully winded, supposedly the watch will run for 40 hours. Sigh. Will get the watch inspected when I am free.

Over wind? Hmmm..if regular hand movement won't over wind the watch?

It could be magnetized or overwind, but I guess my Seiko has mechanism to prevent over-wind because it is a modern movement (Seiko 4R36 caliber), many articles and forum has discussed where I have read, see how anyway.

I got mine from a shop in Subang, found them through mudah, for around RM 150 if I'm not mistaken. I've been using it for more than a year now, leaving it switched on everyday.
Touch wood, it's still going strong & for the low price, no fears of getting a new one if broken but not so soon hopefully.
Hi, I'm also interested as I stay in usj. Can you PM me the shop? Thanks

No mine is the more basic one. Just an on off button. Turns clockwise for 5mins, rests for 15mins, then counterclockwise for another 5mins, rest 15mins and repeats again.
Winds pretty slow...
I have a JLC master geographic with a power reserve comp as my guide whether it over winds or not.
I think it should be ok... *cross fingers*

When you have the time, would you mine counting how many rotations per minute it does? Interested to see if its the same speed as mine.  At the moment, I have mine on for about 4 hours a day. Seems like its keeping my rollies alive.

Hey buddy, it's about 6.5 rotations per minute. So it goes for about 5mins each time which means approx 32 rotations.

Hope that helps!

I got one today from Voxtera in puchong. Just search in Waze and you'll find the place, it's before Tesco coming from USJ. They have a few choices from pu leather to wooden box and from 2 to 8 Winders. Paid about rm 500 for the boxy 2+3 with 1 year warranty. The pu leather is cheaper at rm200+ but it won't be as durable as wood. It turns 10rpm with 4 settings. The 4th setting goes 10min clockwise and 10min anti clockwise for 3 hours, stops for 9 hours and repeats. I guess an hour is sufficient for watches that requires 650 tpd (eg. Rolex) for full wind.

Yes, that's the name. It's a warehouse and the office is inside. They deal with premium gifts, online shopping, and TV marketing.  After paying for the winder, a customer came with a 8 watch winder for warranty claim/repair. At least I'm assured they provide warranty :-)

Bro, too bad your one month warranty has expired and it was only lasted for 4 months similar to mine. Now I have to use the spoilt one for watch storage and got a new one.

The winder brand sell by them is Boxer, if not mistaken. They have more choices in Atria outlet.
