Watch Ads....lets see which ones you like
« on: June 15, 2010, 11:58:35 AM »
One of my all time fav and i always come back to Rolex ads for some reason.
Their slogan in their ads are straight to the point and no bs (the older ones at least).
They didnt start off with celebrities and thats what i like.
I'll start, everyone is free to add on whatever they feel is nice, any brand is welcome.

Off course i will start with my all time fav Rolex model the Explorer, a few of them below that i like.

Something inspired by JPSP's FS post

Now this to me says "POWER"

Now this is maybe my fav colored Rolex if i every could afford one or even dare to wear it. Who says a Daytona is only for men ;D

i of belive on the omega part. Folks at omega starhill actually told me that a group of USAF pilot actually come to the butik to request change the battery on their X-33  :o

But i really doubt abt the claim made by those "mill inspired" compnay like B&R claming to supply to military.

I really like Rolex ad. Even tho most of  the price we pay goes to the branding & mkting. It undeniable that Rolex has a rich history and i belive they made a good Movement.

well the x-33 is still in production under commission. so i heard that the flyboys are still being issued it.

but all in each squadron have a different budget...so each their own i guess. atleast that's what i read.

i like the green daytona but cant afford the maintenance fees....before i see this i am torn between 6694 and 15000 and now i thk i shd put vintage Exp I in my list as well

btw..Doxa is the pionner for Helium Release Valve not Rolex :Startled:
"Now in todays vintage Rolex market and suppose today its one of the most sort after Double Reds and now as rare as hens teeth .Seen one sell for a while back for well telephone number prices $158000 US,and to the correct Rolex watch collector just ask your price now could be up to $200000 US.Now it was around 1969 when Doxa introduced the first divers watch equipped with a Helium Release Valve, that was available first to the general public. And its widely believed to have been co-developed by Doxa and Rolex at that time. Now Rolex submitted a prototype patent on 6th November 1967, its thought only around 50 of these double Red 1665s were distributed with patent pending stamped case backs.Although Rolex fitted Submariners (model 5513 - non date) with prototypes of this escape valve, for the COMEX divers. They did not start to build the Helium Release Valve into their retail dive watches until the SD in 1971,two years after the Doxa. Now after a bit of negotiations with Doxa and both companies had a very good working relationship. So its widely believed they decided to share the Helium/Valve patent, just to get it into production and for sale to the public the new HEV Rolex Seadweller."
