New and looking for recommendations

Hello all,

As the subject states, I'm new to the forum and the watch world. So far, I've only used 1 good watch which is a Swatch Irony (although after reading the forums, it looks like a kindergarden watch  ). After holding onto it for many many years, I felt that it was time for a change and an upgrade. 

In view of this, I was wondering if I can tap on your experiences and knowledge by getting your recommendation on a suitable watch.

Some details:
Budget - RM 500 to RM 1,500 (flexible)
Main usage - for work/ office attire

I was actually thinking of getting a Tissot but I wanted to see if there are any others that I might have a look at.

I think a Seiko Spirit suits you nicely and the usage u stated.

For that price range, there are many brands available such as seiko, tissot, orient, citizen, casio. any other preference? quartz or mechanical? diver,pilot or dress? case size? many styles of watches can be use for office and work and they even look good for eg pilot watch. so if you are not choosy with the styling, any of the brands mentioned are good bets. Also welcome to the club.

i still got my Seiko 5 superior auto which is less than 1k, stil holding it until now eventho i hav my other watches 

that may b good 4 u 2 start off

Thanks for all the recommendations... will definately dropby at the City Chain KLCC today to have a look at their Seiko watches...!
