Watch box VS rolls ? How do you store your watches ?
« on: October 30, 2023, 09:51:18 PM »
Hi guys,

I'm looking for recommendations for watch boxes and watch rolls to store watches and also potentially any recommendations to use for travel as well

Curious to hear what do you guys use to store you watches (aside from your original watch box) and why you prefer one over the other

Looking forward to your recommendations! thanks!!

For travel, the watch rolls and the leather rolls are really convenient. Watch rolls are more rigid and the leather type are more flexible.

For easy convenience to pick out a watch to wear, the watch boxes are nice.

Hardly use any one the original watch boxes.

These are only good for watches with leather or rubber with deployants which can't lie flat on a watch roll.

For one/two watches may be alright but if for more then hard to know what's inside without opening to check.

I use these for all my watches, all kinds of straps, bracelets, and buckles.

Different watch can use different colours. Hahaha

I have been using a cheap wooden watch box from shopee. It holds 8 watches and has a glass cover but the watch cushions provided have already started to disintegrate.

Box not suitable for travel unless by private jet and butler to carry it..

I prefer using this type for travel.. easily carries up to 6 and takes up very little space.

Wanted to get one of these, but didn't because I saw a video that keeping watches with metal bracelets flat like that may end up scratching the watch case and bracelet on each other; didn't want to take the risk.

if it does, it's only the back case of the watch and/or underside of the bracelet.. places you won't really see... but your concerns are interesting and maybe can suggest to the seller to make improvements by supplying something to place in-between..

I usually only bring one watch with me during travel and not an expensive one to not draw attention to myself, so there was never a need for a travel case. I do have one which comes with my zelos mirage which I can use. Normally my watches sit in my watch box at home.

+1 for these as well. which is also how I control myself from getting more watches. I feel nervous and worried about home being broken into, being robbed during travel and etc so I'd keep them apart using these cases and they're kept separately in safe places. I cannot bear the idea if that 10-watch box just get nabbed away.

I also travel only with 1 watch generally because I've experienced my watch being stolen from my luggage :(
