Hi all, a Pilot Watch lover here.
« on: July 16, 2022, 08:12:41 PM »
Hi MWF members, I am a pretty new member here on MWF. The recent Top Gun movie has ignited an IWC flame in me that cannot be stopped. Overall, interested in pilot style watches with arabic numerals, and chronographs are a main staple.

If anyone has cool/unknown pilot watches, please do share as I am always on a lookout for the perfect watch.

Welcome @nielyee .... ;)

Some other options would be Bell& Ross, Alpina, Hamilton, ORIS....but if IWC is yr top choice - then nothing would scratch that itch but IWC. haha all the best in your hunt!

Good choice for pilot timepieces definitely, IWC. Plenty of options at various price points, plenty of case materials to choose from too. The topguns black ceramic is pretty kickass looking.

Hey Niel, welcome! I think one of the cool good value pilots watches now is the Longines Spirit. Especially in the new 37mm size, fits small wrists better. Can't think of anything better under the RM10k mark.

Pilot watches in small diameter you say? How about this Sinn 256 chrono-diver?
It's a 38mm diameter chronograph with a diver bezel. Really love this watch. No one knows what the heck it is.

Hoooooo boy! I love me some 556ixers!
Got an offer of Rm25k to buy a red, blue and yellow one all in one go. But sadly turned it down. I should've just pulled the trigger and I'll have colors to cycle through my week lol

Wah, that's quite a hefty premium, especially when its missing the green one. Still, at 400 pcs each, I reckon there's some demand also la perhaps. The applied indices on them are really nice too

Hi and welcome. Sharing my topgun watch issued to jet pilots in Venezuela. The one worn in topgun is the same model but in black pvd. Happy hunting!

Are there any pilot watches you currently own?

I regret not buying them back when they were $1000.

I prefer the 556A.

I have to say, some pilots especially the IWCs can be dressed up and worn with formal attire which I like very much.
