Title: MWF Report: The Art of Time Exhibition
Post by: TheHobbit on October 19, 2013, 07:03:25 AM
The Art of Time Exhibition by Swiss Watch Gallery. A nice exhibition with a number of brands. I managed to visit the exhibition, but sadly did not have much time there. Perhaps next year. Anyway some shots of the novelties on display.

The Tudor Heritage chrono, black, gray and blue.

Spent most of my time at the IWC stand.

The Portuguese Hand-wind, I believe this is the 8 days power reserve version.

The new portuguese hand wound 8 days are nice especially the withe dial version, but I do wish the calendar is on the 6 position. Should put this on my 2014 wishlist.

Personally i do think this boutique edition... its very un IWC...
1. the date color still white - lack of commitment to do it for a boutique? too costly to do it?

2. IWC do not need this BR strategy

3. the color is very cartoon

First of all, thanks for the nice pictures.

For me, I find that the gallery had nothing much to look at. Sure it have some nice stuff but somewhat it doesnt really turn me on. If you know what I trying to say. At first i am keen to visit this exhibition, but after i read in newspaper section dedicated to this exhibition i decided not to show up considering the item are not my cup of tea.

That being said, the iwc boutique edition is really  :o :o :o :o their current design language is REALLY OFF from what they were in the beginning. I know they wanted to capture the market but that doesnt mean go away from their roots. Maybe these model will appeal to those who are keen on the brand name on the dial and does not bother on the actual heritage of the brand. Sad case really  >:(

What i have written is based on my own opinion. I not intend to start any wars or what  :mooning:
