Wore my wife’s PO on the way to the watch hospital. She wore it on a dive trip and water entered the watch. The rubber gasket failed. Although no longer under warranty but I will still raise a rukus against Omega.

Omega requires you to pressure test the watch every year to ensure the gasket is fine. If you haven't done it I suspect you won't have a case. Especially when your watch is older than 3 years.

Once out of warranty, we can’t do much legally. However, we are influencers through social media (especially via MWF) and how they react to a simple request of reconsidering the repair of such timepieces made using their manufacturing process, their inhouse parts and their much talked about technologies and patents will be closely followed and assessed by a lot of people.
Omega may brush me off but they better do it with tack and consideration coupled with a well justified rationale instead of - “sorry, no more warranty”.
We paid premium for the brand and we expect the brand to also engage owners with class and dignity to commensurate with the franchise value.
