Poljot Christopher Columbus Limited Edition
« on: September 08, 2012, 10:13:00 PM »
This is my Poljot Christopher Columbus Limited Edition watch. Only 5000 pieces were made and this one is numbered 1583. This was also acquired pre-owned and its condition is almost like new, except for the strap. It houses the Poljot 3133 handwound chronograph movement. It is a nice watch. I need to change the original strap if I want to wear as it is too short for my wrist. Also, it is peeling.

Here are some pictures.

You surely hit the bullseye Tonykpk!

Great watch indeed!
Russian watches are made to be sturdy und reliable!
I like this one extremely well - it differs a lot from most "modern" stuff.
And those 3133 handwound movements are just excellent.
Those golden applications add that certain indefinable something
to that timepiece!

Thank you guys for the kind comments.
I bought the watch on a whim, being attracted by its appearance and limited edition status celebrating an important event in history. Also, the price was not bad. Other than that I know "nuts" about Russian watches. It was certainly a pleasant surprise when I got it. A beautiful watch if I may say so. Now I just need to buy a good strap so that I can wear it.

No worries about knowing "nuts" about Russian watches. (Pls read my comments on Russian watches in MWF). Russian watches are made to withstand the test of time. They are solidly build but crude compared with their Swiss counterpart. Anyway, they are still beautifully designed and Congratutalion on your acquisition of the Poljot Columbus!
