after 3 year of dilemma, hate the reflection, but purely love the look, and finally pull a trigger on it...

PD Ocean 2000.

The quintessential IWC diver's watch. Congratulations.
Would you share your love affair (history) with the watch?

Sigh, how I miss the days when I was working on airplanes and when the Russian planes land, the pilots would approach us engineers and ask if we want to buy the watches they had on their wrist. That was in the early 90s.

Why did they do that? A little side business?

Yeah. Side business. :) But the watches were of very poor quality. Most did not last a month. :(

It seems that I am on a craaazy Flieger tear these past few weeks!

IWC Vintage collection Pilot hand wound, found right here in the MWF!
I think you can still see the ad. Sorry... I snagged it.
Background on the screen is Tante Ju aka Junkers Ju52.

The box is badly damaged. Any idea where I can find a decent box alternative for the watch?

FYI: I've also placed an order for the Stowa Baumuster B dial Flieger, should be in Malaysia in November.

Very nice.
Just wondering what the triangle marker at 1.30 for?
How do you operate it? Crown at 3?
