well, when you talk about 1st impression,
watches do explain the man's status and life style SOMETIMES.

just like girls with branded bag and accessories.

we might need this for social life or business and stuff like that,

and further on, after some talking,
we might find out,

whether he is a wealthy guy from rich family or doing very well himself,
or funny weird guy just want to show off,
or guys who do not care bout watches,
or guys who has small head but wearing big hat.

just like girls,
wealthy girl from rich family or doing very well herself,
or girls who only care bout materials and how others look at them,
or girls who do not care bout materials,
or also girls has small head but wearing big hat.

and also, guys with high en watches,
might be easier to GET girls,

just like it will be easier for pretty girl with HOT body shape  to get guys they want~

no? lol

Erm... If you dun know how to strike up an intelligent conversation, I doubt wearing a 2million ringgit high end timepiece would provide you with any help at all... hahaha

ya,
thats about the 1st impression and after a conversation.

but it's true,
some girls do not mind if a guys with 2 million riggit high end timepiece but stupid conversation;
just like some guys too don't mind to spend time with a hot pretty girls who can't talk at all.

Some interesting talk here.
Take this scenario;
A man / woman wearing an expensive timepiece along with heavy gold chain with big diamond stud on his / her finger is orderings packet of chicken rice.
He /she tell the chicken rice vendor;
‘Lau-pan, (boss) I want 3 packets of chicken (showing his / her 3 fingers, one of the finger wearing the diamond ring)’
Take away the chicken neck, indicating no chicken neck (pointing to his / her neck wearing the heavy gold chain)’
And please be quick, I am rushing against time (simultaneously pointing to his / her expensive watch on the wrist)
As such, in one quick chorus action he /she show all her expensive materials things in a ‘kiasu’ manner.
The above is a typical scenarios for the show off.
Just my 2 cents

dc
I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

Added to the conversation, the chicken must be soft, if hard and scratch my rings or watch, you cant even compensate by selling off the shop  :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor:

hahaha.. good one david!  ;D
have you met anyone like that in real life before?

back to the topic of 1st impression,
well, i think normally i'd just stare at the watch high end or lower end, whatever,
really like watches can't help to just stare at ppl watches... =.=

To all, Thanks

Staring at people watches is the norm for people like us. But others thought us weird.

Some ppl wear an expensive watch but the attire they are wearing are out of place.
Some ppl wear an expensive suit but the watch they wear is some junks.

Some ppl buy an expensive watch to please others
Some ppl buy a fake watch to please themselves and same time showing off to others

But to justify oneself, one has to hurdle the overcome not to buy fakes..

When you walk into a watch shop, the first things those sales people look is your wrist
When you walk into a cloths boutique, the first thing they grade is your clothings.
When you walk into a shoes shop, the first thing they observed is what on your feet.
Do I need to continue……?

The present culture is to judge a book by its cover?? No?........really?

Do you understand what I am trying to say?.
No, sometimes, I myself do not really understand what I narrated…..….. :HammerHead:
