Welcome both Sid and Friday.

Do enjoy your stay here and absorb more poison.

Try to make your first serious watch a ...rolex, then the rest are easy.

My first serious watch is a manual winding rolex, a 6694.
After that, all is history down the road.

that's a good advice  ;D ;D the rest are "easy" in the sense that it makes watches like Orient seemed like a very good deal  :Scolding:

:Laughing_on_floor:, Agree, once you got the Rolex, the rest of the collection become very handy, shorten the queue  :Laughing_on_floor:

Poison already in.

My first real watch if there is such a word was a Tag bought in 2003, saved my first few months of pay and within a month of getting it house got burgled. Watch taken of course :(

2 years back after a long lull due to phobia got myself the Russian watch brand, Sturmanskie but the Rolex as dc mentioned has been the dream and now after close to 10 years and a few price increase I think I'm just going to get it when I come home next. I saw the Sub when it was 15k i think and now it's probably a bit more. The explorer however has gotten my fancy and the pics by danny was just amazing!

Well, the explorer 1 (36mm) is now history. The race now on for the exp 1 (39mm).

Now, I am getting myself a dose of these poison when someone offered me a T>25 Exp1 circa 90's at a very attractive price. But the dial is showing some kind of spider maze crack in the centre.

The poison is...should I go for it?. But then, there is another black dial milgauss (used) smiling at me......

I don't think i have recovered enough remedy / will power to fight off these kind of poison......somebody please help.... :HammerHead:

I read your post on buying pre-owned ie if your first one get at AD and subsequent if you know what you doing then get pre-owned.

i am waiting for danny to reply me the price he got his, unless u can help me my friend dc, price for sub no dial and explorer 1 39mm :) These are my 2 choices although i did see the milgauss and it was on federer at one point :) but again like smeone else said, better try on your own wrista nd see which strickes ie sings to you LOl

Not sure if the spider dial is 'worth' more on the explorer. I do know is is 'more desired' on the sub.
