New straps.... old watch....
« on: September 28, 2010, 01:19:26 PM »
Since my old Seiko 5 Pilot (flieger) originally came with a set of pilot's strap with rivets, I went hunting for a set as I kinda wanna ditch the NATO that replaced the originals (they disintegrated early this year). It seems so hard to get a pilot's leather strap with rivets for 18mm. I gave up the search and got a basic 18mm one with stitching... then went to Pertama C. to get the rivets done.

Here's the pilot wannabe leather on the Seiko.... (sorry for the quality of the pics... using PnS in da opis)

Wow! Cun beb!  Are you polishing the bezel? Look different. If I not mistaken the watch case is blasted finished. But it look nice & give a different looks. Congrats bro.  ;D

The bezel came originally polished for this version and yes, very different from those with satin finished bezels. I think those came after the version that I own.

I actually brushed the buckle to give it a satin finish as I don't quite like the bling. I did the same for Yobokies' oyster on my 007 in the pics.
