Saw the post started by Kenixck on first watch,it triggers some thought of my memory.
guess i can share some bits n pieces how I got started(deeply poisoned)with this expansive hobby.
I still remember my first watch which was a gift from my father,a "ladies" seiko for my tiny wrist when i was in my primary 1.This was the first Horology seed got planted in my mind.
I need some time to find the watch which is lying some where in my drawer. For the time being,it looks almost the same with the one in the borrowed pic below.
these were the few i got as a gift in my primary and secondary schooling days.
The is a gift from my sisters when I was in my Form3 after i got my PMR result.
This is the first watch that I bought for myself with my first-time-hard-earned money :Jumping:Thanks to Popular bookstore.
My watch which accompanies me for 3 years in my Uni time, which again is a gift from my gf and now my wife.
This is the first real stuff which bring me into this no turning back journey..
It served me well and follow me to lots of places.
It was there when i was first poisoned by PAM virus
Along the journey I did a lots of crazy stuffs such as,
Building my own watch box with a Timberland shoebox and Hot FHM playing cards.
Before i got this..
and "flossing" my watch.. my mom said I'm crazy back then
before i got myself this to do the job..
I believe each and every piece has it's own sentimental value or story behind, wedding gift, milestone achievement in career, etc etc, which is the part I enjoy the most appreciating each timepiece.
To me in this journey, it doesn't matter how many watches you have collected or how expansive is your collection, what matters the most is how many new friends(as crazy as yourself
)you have met and how many people will share the same joy like you whenever there is a new acquisition be it a Q&Q or a PP.
I guess I'm not alone in this journey, because of you guys and the growing community.
