Fortunately or unfortunately, affordable is a relative measure. Anyway, the demand towards Rolex and Omega has not gone down despite the annual increasing RRPs, so that's that then.

No, it’s global increase. It’s like the fuel price in Malaysia, no matter if crude oil p/b increase or not, the fuel price will still increase.

Depends on model. For some model you can choose where you want to buy, but for some model like submariner, I don’t think you can choose as it’s already consider very lucky to see one at any AD in Malaysia.

For datejust, go grab at Japan if possible. Tokyo Jack Road shop, can get gst refund on the spot plus good discount.

Yes, I always monitor the price of Rolex in other country like Japan, HK and Italy. Another good excuse to visit Japan.

Most of the AD actully sell their sport models to grey importer also. I saw some hk dealers buying fr our AD. Mayb they give the sales person angpow

My AD told me every time when I visit the shop. Not sure whether it is their sales-pitch or Rolex will eventually increase their price. As far as I knew, they usually increase it once every year and mostly happen between February and March.
I heard that pp also increased already.

I have spotted few precious metal subs in Bangkok last week. And yes, no stock for SS model. They won’t lock the price for you.

i travel a lot to many different countries, almost 1 to 2 countries in Asia a month, and every time if i have the chance to go inside the AD to have a look, there's no sports model to be seen.

Rolex price increase is a constant lar.. but why bother predicting when it will happen? Just buy the Rolex one you want when you can afford it.
