After getting my speedy, i searched around for nice leather strap, but couldn't find any of my taste.
Happily however, i found what i like through an online shop.
Without hesitation, i place an order, hoping it to look as good as per advertised.
a happy moment when the parcel arrive

Hirsch leather straps are well made, I bought one from Red Army Watches previously. One of the best quality ones I've owned to date. Enjoy and it looks great with the speedy!

I have just bought a brown Hirsch Rally for a vintage Breitling and the brown is a little dark/ uniform for my liking. I know i could wait and let time do its thing, but have any of you guys ever tried lighten or age a strap before? If so, how did you do it? Did it work?

Hi DannyBeky,
I've tried lightening leather straps with a light sandpaper. It works to scuff it softer and if your strap is glossy, makes it matt. However, do this slowly.
After that, I usually let it be for a while before I rub some leather balsam on it.
If I'm darkening a strap, I add some oils (mainly mink oil or coconut oil) to the parts.

One ways I know is, apply some mink oil(or any leather treatment will do) and keep it under strong sunlight for few days

Nice recommendation. I also have a speedy moon and been looking for a nice leather with deployment clasp. It just looks real classy with brown leather.
