IMO, I like that they are making it accessible for a wider audience, especially for those who can’t afford the original moonwatch.

I am surprised the Omega forums are full of haters...
they've always been a much nicer bunch than the Rolex forums, and then the Moonswatch came along and they crawled out of the woodwork
even though the Omega name and logo is there, Omega themselves don't seem to be selling the watch so it's more like Swatch making a moonwatch the Swatch way..
I think it's cute, my kids like it, and this will start their journey to the real Omega timepiece..

Though not limited edition watches, I think demand is going to exceed supply and the scalpers are going to have a field year with these. They'll probably sell out within an hour or so and I doubt there'll be any to see at the Swatch shop once you reach the shop end of the mile long queue. We'll soon find out come Saturday.
I agree that this will be the situation in the short term. Thus it is important that buyers out there be prudent.

I heard that at Pavi, they gave out only 200+ numbered tickets this morning to those who lined up outside the mall's main entrance - only 1 watch per person limit. Those who were already lining up outside the Swatch shop before the mall's opening time didn't get squat. :o :P

Problem with the R brand is. The supply is EVERYWHERE aka everyone has one aka not even rare. But the AD and grey game is on point until everyone can’t get. Ridiculous.

Not even that bro. The grey bio-ceramic case looks more plastic than actual plastic...if there is such a thing - but you may get what I mean. Lego looks better imo ;D.

Well, you can't run away from the fact that it's swatch made so take it as it is and it'll be fine. Just don't see it as something that it's not.

Yea, the inflated secondary prices are simply not worth it at all. I love swatches btw, I have 3 in fact, but I dont see myself paying any premium for it. Rolex is a different story altogether :Confused:... :HammerHead:

There are a lot of lessons manufactures can learn from the current watch market.
No need to mention the likes of Rolex, Audemars Piguet or Vacheron Constantin.
Some Omega models are now becoming harder to get. Some Zenith as well.
If Swatch will learn anything, there was a big hype on the first day of sale.
How they manipulate supply now will determine it's success.
Or they can just say fakit and flood the market with these cheap watches and/or sell them at a discount.
The fact is anyone who releases something "new" will have the scalper market to help them hype it up.
