My AP Royal Oak 15300st White Dial
« on: November 25, 2013, 05:09:38 PM »
After much searching around, finally landed with this lovely AP Royal Oak 15300st. Been considering between the 39mm against the 41mm 15400. I think 39mm suit me fine.

The 15300 comes with calibre 3120 with 60 hours power reserve. (same movement with 15400). Close examination of the crystal caseback it seemed like the 39mm case is already too big for the intricate movement. Love the Gold Rotor which is really charming.

The white Tapisserie dial looks much better in real life than from the picture shot. it match nicely with the date window colour.

Some pictures for sharing

I find the white dial match nicely with the stainless steel case. i would prefer black dial if in rose gold and black strap, almost bought one two months ago.

I found the AP fits my wrist better with its unique lug & bracelet design compared to my Rolex Sub. It somehow allow the watch to sit "squarely" on the wrist, compared to the Sub which will slant unless you wear it very tight, which in turn would feel uncomfortable.

Ah... this was the piece I was hoping to see and try but forgot about. Is this a sign I'm not haunted by it anymore? Maybe on my next KL trip, we should have a mini GTG with 15202 and 15300 together for a comparison...
