Empurau is the most expensive fresh water fish so far....

this fish living in the sarawak big river, because of their food is a type of fruit that growth along the river....
hence, the this empurau have a unique taste

but now due to a Local manage to rare this..... so the price from his farm catch selling around RM1k++ /kg in restaurant
the wild catch still fetching crazy price.... > RM2k / kg

i admired my ex colleague who work at the Bakun dam..... they use to hunt for this and bring this back to peninsular some times.....

Saw this on the September issue of Going Places magazine. According to the mag, these are the best fried kueh teow in KL. Anyone can confirm any of these shops?

Sorry for the crappy camera phone photo.

Why be careful of the curry fish head?

Some time in out in out fridge many time

revisited this Sarawak laksa in bangsar happy garden
still maintain the STD
after tried the best in Kuching
this is not bad actually
but I prefer the swak one bcoz the herbs n spices is stronger
the yuen sai is small but better taste
this one more eggs, more bean sprout n mo sweet
anyway, still the best swak laksa in kl

Another of my favourite stall next to the Cha Kui Tiau in the earlier post in the same restaurant. Yum!

The prawn noodle next to this stall is not bad also, if one prefer something  'lighter'

If there's anyone looking for Penang foods, I would highly recommend Penang One in Bandar Puteri. Original trucked down from Penang everyday.
