Hell yeah that's one sexy thang!

You're photography improving bro.

Whats the closest you can get with your macro lens on the patina?

With the Nikon, pretty close. Top it off with cropping.....

Chris the 369 do not have any tritium but painted white only but they are made of white gold.

The hands have less colour or patina. Was told that the hands are original to the watch and have never been changed.

With the amount of watches Rolex produces i am guessing hands from different batch.

Pic from Hodinkee and its a pic of the Milsub from owner John Mayer.

Hands also diff shade of patina, maybe the hands age differently?

There are Panerai models where Tritium on markers formed patina but hands still mighty white. I guess that's normal.

I suspect it is because the hands do not come into (or as much) contact with lacquer after the tritium is applied. I read that only the back of the hands are lacquered.  The pearl is a mystery.

It is interesting that the patina looks more orange outdoors than indoors in this picture.

I believe the application of the lacquer coat on the back of the hands to to help stabilise the hands.

This is the greatest regret of my watch journey .
Every time i look at this watch,it brings back memories.
This was my first "real" watch which I bought in 1999 in China Town,Singapore.
And I sold it to get a half gold GMT master.
Shouldn't have sold it,damn.

My advise to the newbies, try not to sell off your very first "real" watch, you might regret it.........like me.

BTW,I love how the hands aged, looks very unique.
