What makes this watch special compared to your run-of-the-mill Seamaster 300 Professional? This is a limited edition No.10XXX / 11007 made to coincide with Skyfall's release and commemorate half a century of James Bond film. Highly collectible for all James Bond fans out there.
The 50 minute marker on the ceramic bezel is coated with a layer of red lacquer to commemorate the 50th anniversary. The dial is painted with a repeating James Bond famous 007 logo using black lacquer. But the pièce de résistance is the solid steel caseback, which pays homage to the famous gun barrel opening sequence used in all James Bond movies. It has a solid stainless steel caseback with a spiral pattern which gives an illusion of staring into a gun barrel. At the centre is a gold ring with "James Bond 50 Years", completing the diorama of a bullet speeding toward you.
Condition of the watch is superb, in my humble opinion probably one of the most well kept example for this limited edition and comes in a complete full set. Watch had never been polished. Lume is still bright. Only noticeable imperfection is a small hairline scratch on the clasp. The box however has clear signs of deterioration and peeling of the faux leather, this is unfortunately due to our tropical weather and cant be avoided.
