Display caseback showing the Unitas based movement with engraved plates and bridges which also seem to be rhodium plated.

The strap is after market. The original strap is being sent back to factory due to some defects. Expecting new strap from factory in 2 weeks time.

Yes! This watch look very clean and simple :) I'm lucky enough to see and hold this beauty yesterday ;)

The subdial on the right is the power reserve indicator by percentage ;)

Danny, i'm sure you have another piece to share ;) Keep them coming mate!

Cheers!
SC

Wow, I must say this is impressive. Thought I missed it that day. What is the asking price, Danny?

Alvin,
It's RM5,500 after discount. A reasonable price IMHO. Schaumburg also has a Flieger model with the same movement and similar case design. I'm sure Red Army can bring in a piece for you if you are interested.

Hi yenfoolun,
The Dornbluth watch that you described sounds very interesting. Any pics to share with us here?
Is it available locally?

I agree totally that the finishing of these watches are really superior to Schaumburg's. I really like the swan neck regulator and the nicely engraved bridge.  Thanks for sharing the pics of the Dornbluth watches.

PS. Where can I get one?

of this watch? The bevelling & engraving lines are crude though if see closely. But if the price is good, shouldn't complain then.  ;D

As a follow up to the quick and dirty pictures of the Schaumburg Gnomonik, I have posted better quality pictures of this watch in the Watch Gallery section (http://tamhk.com/mwf/index.php/topic,38.msg269.html#msg269). Hopefully these new pictures will do justice to the Schaumburg watch.

A review of this watch can also be found here. (http://dannytam.com/2009/02/17/schaumburg-aufab-gnomonik-a-review-of-a-unique-single-hand-watch/)
