DS & Nato Strap
« on: June 28, 2010, 10:25:17 PM »
Saw some fashion mags recently saw Nigo of Bathing Ape (he is a known lover of Subs) starts to wear his Sub with Nato straps then I know his trend is nato strap this year so me also changed my DS with a 22mm nato strap bought from RArmy Watches.

The looks is actually quite good.
And i thought it would look too thin on a DS.

Your's a Zulu. The one shown here is a Nato. http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=408264
Zulu's have rounder rings while Nato has squares.

I personally prefer Zulus over Natos. Wearing a Rolex on Zulu/Nato straps is a declaration that u r a hardcore WIS!

I've got the same thoughts. In the pics, the rings look awfully close to the lugs.. almost touching.

I have heard that with Rolex watches, the space between the case and the spring bar is notoriously narrow, so some people find it difficult to squeeze a Zulu strap thru their Rollies. How did you manage to do that?

I think what you can try is:-

1) put the strap over first (push it near the lug), then

2) fix the lug pin

but if the strap is too think, you can't perform (2). I've tried that many times with my nato/zulu bought for me from Lim :) Till now, the strap still not in good use yet  :-\
