For me I like IT simple ,So I would Pick 114060LN

When the first watch introduced its without date. Now we have dates, month, chronograph etc.
Simplicity vs complication.
For me I like simplicity. 114060 for me

116610 get my vote. The cyclops is an icon for subs.

Prefer ND.

i will go for sub date.
-
i would say cyclops is an icon for Rolex rather than a Submariner.
The original Submariner in 1953 was without a date.
Date on Submariner was only added in 1960's.

You are absolutely correct but in modern world, a Date subs is more iconic among the public. Of course, it is just my 1 cent opinion, I could be wrong.

Preferably ND for its clean surface and simplicity.

You're absolutely correct too in modern world that a Sub Date is widely known as "THE Submariner".
A Sub may even be thoughts as a fake if there's no date on it by general public. (based on my experience) :D

love at first sight in 114060 but after some thoughts, 116610 would be my choice as it looks wider in overall.
-
I like it with date function for convenience purposes, I'll go with the 116610! You can't go wrong either way, follow your heart, pick the one that sing the most for you and never look back! ;D

114060! Because it's call a Rolex Submariner, not Rolex Submariner Date.
