Title: Vacation time
Post by: timekeeper99 on November 09, 2017, 04:46:38 PM
Since holidays coming up..what would you wear?

Mine is the Roger Dubuis...to me this is one of the toughest all-rounder..especially when kids are in tow..

When it comes to tough watches (well, most watches are built tough these days but I would take it as in watches that would take on a battle scar or two without your heart skipping on a beat), I almost always only have 2 candidates - a Casio G-shock that packs ABC features in a nifty package, and a Ball Hydrocarbon (get the rarer Spacemaster Orbital 2 if you chance upon it at the AD- that's the toughest of the whole series albeit with the highest MRSP too) for toughness yet packaged in a watch that could still be worn for the formal occasion.

I will be heading off to HK in Dec for a holiday with my family. I'll very likely just wear my g-shock.

Only during business trips do I wear my Explorer 2

Watch for vacation always depends on what will be the activities during the trip.

I won't mind bring along few watches during vacation  ;)

I usually bring a simple plastic cased watch. Less hassle with security and such

Best beach vacation watch! Seiko skx007!
No worries about it getting damaged during the trip.

+1 for G-Shock. I can swim with it, bring it to the beach, walk in dodgy areas, and even change timezones at the push of a button. Also, I won't need to bother about it getting tossed around in the plastic containers during security checks.

For me it depend on which location. Normally would go for the watch that nobody would want to steal i.e casio or timex :-)
