I know Casio use to make/ assemble some G-Shocks here. Seiko as well. I heard one Swiss brand manufactures its dial in Malaysia, but Malaysian brand, not sure.

DJ,

Nvr heard of US Submarine also. DJ- If can share pics, I am curious also.

I actually voted NO earlier but come to think of it it depends on what is your definition of "manufacture"? If you mean a pure watch brand like Oris/Tag Heuer/Rado,etc I suppose its NO. If you want to include parts being manufactured or assembled in Malaysia then I suppose its YES.

But what about some of the so-called fashion brands? Take Bonia for example- its a Malaysian co and brand ( company listed on Bursa ) and has a line of watches. My guess is that its manufactured in China under contract, but its still a Malaysian brand no?

You got the point   I just vote according from what I heard from the sell... Maybe Malaysia is assemble the brand & the seller claim it is Malaysia brand... but I'm still not sure about it. I will try to get more info....  ;)

here is the picture....

Borrowed pic

My father using almost the same watch for almost 20 years ago. To my surprise, the battery just exhausted last year!  :o I knew this brand since I was a child. But the brand that day is not popular & just found in most pasar malam. The problem is I can't find the history or even the company website on the net.... The picture is just to share the brand name... of course the watch looks cheap, quality is not that good.... of course what can  you hope from a RM30 watch...  :)

But I can't source the new model that they have now... they got a such variety models nowadays.... Many watch shop in the North sell this brand. They got a very nice design & the quality I can say par with the Casio Edifice. The new model got many styling, complication & the price is competetive with the Casio. I hope to get a new pic of this brand. I can say very nice. They are using Japan movement & Swiss Movement & the logo also is different from the old one. Maybe they already rebadge the brand & made it in better quality using a better source from they had before & now sell in many boutique...
