Engine Overhaul Costs
« on: September 22, 2010, 10:14:35 AM »
Hello Sifus,

Can you please share with me the rough ( no need exact ) costs to overhaul the following types of watches ( or similar models ):

1.  Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch 861 - Manual Wind
2.  Grand Seiko 6145 Vintage - Automatic

Please also recommend a good watch repair shop to carry out the Engine Overhaul ?

Regards,
Jonathan

You cannot just evaluate an overhaul cost over the counter. You have to take it to the watch repair, open up the case back for a detail evaluation & quotation. Then they will quote you. To proceed repair is another matter. In event that you are not ready to proceed overhaul, then they charge you the quotation fees.

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?
