Takashi i never understood what you meant by wrong size initially but after looking at Sean Connery aka james bond photo posted above, that is glaringly undersize. But then again maybe we all got it wrong.....its meant to be worn under size. :)
-
LOL if Bond wears it that way then its THE only way hahaha...dont mess with Bond!
He will get your girl! :Laughing_on_floor:

awesome watch in awesome condition...pls PM me the price and source too...hav been hunting for one...cheers buddy
-
just curious. is this variant more expensive than the meter first? I see people list this as feet first/ meter first.
-
The meter 1st are earlier version of the model. The dial of 5513 started with meter first then change to feet first.
Not to say which one is ore expensive as it all depend on the condition. Of course if both are in mint condition then I would guess the meter first dial would sell at a higher price.
There's also gilt and matte dial to be consider as well.
Just to give you an example, here's a gilt dial meter first 5513

Thats beautiful.
Very good buy there.

Can we set the parameters first...vintage can be such a loosely used term...as far as i can remember, when it comes to cars...25-50 years old is refered as classic, while more than 50 years is vintage. Does it apply to watches as well? :mooning:

i think 20 years and above is considered vintage for watches...

Congratulations!

A before and after pictures of my 5513, took me ages to find a correct tritium lum dot though. The little handiwork was posted in link below. First impression can be deceptive!

Hi H.Chang, the Rolex pocket watch was an army issued General Service Mk II dated to pre ww2. It has a 15J Rolex signed movement made by Cortebert.
-
Thanks siewming. Would the mechanism be similar to this ?

Well, it has an 18L movement and looks quite a bit difference from yours, pictures of inside and caseback below.
