No one can touch Seiko in bang for the buck watches.
I still wear my Seiko-5 for any trip i take overseas. Can take a beating and cheap enough to replace should anything happen to it.

All in, I have 3 Seikos todate.
One used as a dress watch - for special occasion or even for office use.
Two, a military and a diver, used for casual or rough usage.

Well, looking at other "affordable" watches, IMHO, nothing can beat Seiko at its price. Maybe competition from Citizen and Orient. As for Casio, IMHO, this brand generally suited the digital dial lovers.

I totally agreed. Seiko price / quality ration is extremely exceptional. I could not find any other brand offer such lower price for a quality watch.

I am still wearing my Seiko 5 Military every weekend.

In my mind nothing will ever beat Seiko.. close second Citizen..  some of the brands listed seems abit high in price range to be considered afordable.. sure us crazy ppl will make the money even if we cant afford it but i remember my Oris caused quite a dent to my wallet..
We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.
