if really cant find.... then i'll keep it as it is... it a golden era of hamilton product anyway... the movement is stunning...

It's a beautiful piece. I myself would like to collect vintage watches in the future. But for now, I'll stick to modern ones.

If I may ask, where do you get your vintage watches from? The internet? Second hand watch shops?

so sorry... i got the impression that you collect vintage watches. ;D

There are sites selling pam homages which also sells radiomir style cases that may fit the movement. They also sell dial, hands etc. The site which I bought my pam homage from sells this. [commercial link removed]

Yen - its a beautiful pc (like Hush had said)

If I am the owner, I would keep it as its original state. Believe the case is (14/18k) solid gold?

Too good to be a project watch? (IMHO)

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

Chris, i will keep it as it is (just my opinion)...it's a very nice pocket watch and maybe you can bring it for the next GTG ;)

I'm not sure, if you put that beautiful movement to some other case (like panerai case), i think it will lost it's original beauty and vintage-feel, ..just my opinion :)

Chris, try this http://tourbywatches.com/  ??
pics borrowed from internet.

i seen this... selling not cheap.... the other company is RGM... hell expensive....
i contacted tourby last week, he refuse to sell his case and parts....

so sorry... i got the impression that you collect vintage watches. ;D

thanks. i do not think this part fits... especially dial and hands.....
and my initial intention is to build a nice dinner watch.... this homage watch is not what i want....
homage watch i'll prefer to use swiss eta movement straight.... watch parts is easy to find to fit the swiss eta movement....
or i can actually order whole thing from the famous..... davidsen

:Laughing_on_floor: i was once thought of project watch.... because this movement is hiding behind the solid case....
it is so beautiful... so i was thinking to build a nice dinner watch showing off the movement.....

if i cant find these
1) 44mm high polished 316 st steel case.... round or cushion.... must be clean design.... with see through case back
2) onion crown
3) nice silver/enamel dial
4) blued hands....

otherwise... it will remain as is.... let me see how to create a strap for it....

i think u should check out the the watches at [No mention of AD name- Mod]. it also sounds very similar to the watch that i'm getting 'the alexander shorokoff alzenau jubilee' watch.

it has the blue hands n onion crown for sure.

never heard of this brand at all... i dont like this movement finishing and the watch design at all.

actually i made a stingray porch for this beautiful and well preserved hamilton 921
http://www.malaysiawatchforum.com/index.php/topic,354.0.html

then i bought another hamilton 921 and managed to convert it into a wristwatch to my likes

Love pocket watches. If you get the special display stand, looks damn cool on your display cabinet - smaller than a table clock but more obvious than a watch!

I actually like pocket watches very much, & sifu Chris one looks great. Seen some MidValley, ......... Epos has gold plated one only, but, I preferred stainless steel ............ hehe cost less; But, the other brand ?TagHueur stainless steel with sub-minutes & seconds dial cost a bomb! So, backed off! :'(

all these modern pocket watches use standard eta 6497 / 6498....  unless u buy patek, richard mille, vc.....
so the level of finishing normally cant match the vintage beauty

Remember now, the SS pocket watch that cost a bomb at MidValley is Oris, sound like limited edition one, like abt 1000 pieces worldwide.
Sifu Chris, mind sharing the damage of your vintage?

Tthis Hamilton is not rare... Just surf ard Hamilton 917, 921, 923.... Plenty from US
So price is affordable.... U get movement finishing at highest level - edge bevel, gold chaton, fine adjustment, screwed balance wheel....

A working condition price from usd 150 depends on condition n case material
